This is a slide movement I made with a motor bike and a buggy. What I had to do was set a background and put the moving things on and then duplicate the slide and each slide I duplicated I move the motorbike and then if you spam the next slide button on the screen it moves

Mirimber festival

On wednesday the 7th, tawhirimatea went to the turanga Mirimber festival where there were other schools we played with. It was very fun and we all enjoyed playing different instruments.

Wow look at my times tables progress! The start of this term I was nowhere near finishing my grid or getting a time but know im getting 100/100.

Whangara

We went down to some trials and then each group ndug out the grass they were learning about and we put them into a container so when we got to school we could look with a magnifying glass and see if it was healthy or it the clover had bacteria that would meen it has lots of nitrogen because the bacteria gets nitrogen from the air and brings it down to the grass.

We have been learning about farms and different types of grasses. Today we went to a whangara farm and learnt about trials and weather stations. We have learnt some things about the farms and climate
 change. We went out because we have been learning about what agronomists do and what farms do to be successful.

Something interesting that I learnt was that they had cages to trap a bit of grass so the cows wouldn't eat it and then after two weeks they would take off the cage and test how long the grass was and then write it down and then move the cage to a different place.

I enjoyed looking at all the different trials and finding four leaf clovers because it means that your farm has good luck and I found about four of them. and how different grasses are better in different conditions .

I'm still wondering if each grass works better with a different type of sheep for example Clover might be best for Marino or plantain might be best  for Romni.

I learnt lots about shearing on wednesday like what bits of the body to shear first and bits about the hand piece and what to wear for safety.

I was even sweeping up the wool that had been sheared off.

Making Anzac Biscuits

Allison Reynolds Invented the Anzac biscuits. The reason of Anzac biscuits was because the soldiers at war had bad food so the people at home made hard crunchy sweet biscuits and it made the soldiers happy.

Ice skating

On Waitangi Hill they discovered oil and they used to sell it.

They have a pipe that sucks up the oil straight out of the ground and then they put the oil into bottles.

Local people believe that the seal Oioi s oil spread across the whole Waitangi including Waitangi Hill. Oioi was Whirikoka s pet and they were told that up the stream there was a cool special place but they had to be back by sunrise.

One night they accidently fell asleep and when they woke up they were trapped and Oiois oil went everywhere across the whole of Whatatutu.

Oil is also referred as Black gold or Texas tea.

Oil is measured in barrels and it is equal to 159 liters and 45 us gallons.
